En Grill & Bar has recently refreshed its menu! For those who are still unaware, the En Group is a pioneer in introducing Singapore's first Japanese dining bar to Mohamed Sultan Road.

Besides the medley of authentic and traditional Japanese dishes served with a modern twist, En Grill & Bar prides themselves with serving Japan's no. 1 award winning and high-quality Wagyu, the Motobu Wagyu beef. Don't play play - the Motobu Wagyu is said to be fattier than regular Wagyu! I learnt that they only serve grades A4 or A5 Motobu Wagyu that's directly imported from the Yanbaru ranch in Okinawa.

En Grill & Bar is just one of the 800+ merchants offering Buy One Get One Free offers on the Entertainer Singapore app. Currently, diners can enjoy three offers at En Grill & Bar:
1) One main menu item for one main menu item
2) Two tapas for two tapas
3) One assorted grilled skewer platter for one assorted grilled skewer platter
I checked out some of En Grill & Bar's offerings!

En Grill & Bar is perfect for a chill night out, with a variety of Japanese cocktail and mocktail selections to headache over.
I had a little too many with the Flamingo Flame, Calpis Sour (Sochu Cocktail), Orange Crush and Cranberry Sour (Sochu Cocktail). Personally, I am an amateur when it comes to alcoholic drinks... Thus, it was obvious that I preferred the ones without the sochu cocktail.

One Japanese tapas worth a try is the flavourful Tako Carpaccio ($12). Sliced octopus is topped with salmon roe and drizzle of aromatic yuzu and truffle oil. This unique combination is not only Instagram-worthy but hits the right notes altogether!

Another crowd favourite, the juicy Wagyu Mini Burger ($16) uses hand-ground Motobu Wagyu patty, together with red wine sauce that complements the beef.

The Garlic Gambas ($16) features pan-fried shrimp with creamy butter sauce. I am a sucker for prawns; needless to say, this final sinful tapas was my favourite. I just wish that the portion was bigger!

All eyes were fixed on the charcoal grilled Sumiyaki Morrawese ($25) right at the moment it was being presented. It was clearly the highlight of the meal - not only was it pleasing to the eyes, the aromatic bbq smell of the meat grilled to perfection left many craving for more!
The assorted grilled skewers consisted on grilled squid, meatballs, asparagus, chicken wings and tomatoes on a stick.

The colourful Wagyu Yasai Stick ($24) will catch your attention for sure. Also charcoal grilled, it is served with Motobu Wagyu and assorted veggies on a skewer. I'd probably appreciate it better if the beef was slightly more done!

Moving on to the mains, the Sunny Side-Up Hamburg ($18) is a dish that consists of hand-ground Wagyu beef patty top with sunny side-up egg and red wine sauce. There was some egg porn going on as the runny egg yolk oozed onto the beef patty when being cut! *.* While I am not a fan of minced beef, I did enjoy the burst of overflowing juiciness in my mouth. Paired up with the red wine sauce? Perfecto!

The Wagyu Houba Misayaki ($28) was decent charcoal grilled Motobu Wagyu Steak with miso on houba leaf. The meat, though medium-rare, was nicely done. But I say decent because the use of miso was overly generous, resulting in the meat to be too salty for my liking. Such a waste! Nevertheless, I'd probably be back for this dish another time - but will request for the use of miso to be cut down.

My favourite Wagyu and Foie Gras ($14.80) is the kind of meat that melts in your mouth! Using braised Motobu Wagyu beef tendon with foie gras in miso, I thought that the dish would have tasted better when served with rice instead.

You could taste the freshness of the ocean with the last main dish - Angel's Hair Pasta ($18.80). Another favourite of mine, cold angel's hair pasta was served with sea urchin and salmon roe. I loved it for its simplicity and well-matched flavours.

This sweet tooth's favourite part of the meal was definitely the dessert!
A delight was the popular Yuzu Cheesecake ($7.80). Light cheesecake was infused with Japanese yuzu, a distinctive flavour that left me wanting more.

The meal ended on a sweet note with the well-paleted Matcha Tiramisu ($7.80). This captivating dessert is En's own green tea tiramisu. Anything matcha is good! Of course, it was topped with its best match, red bean.

That's it, I'm returning to En Grill & Bar for sure! If you're looking for somewhere to unwind with your friends through the night, this might be the place you're looking for. I had nothing to complain about the ambiance - you can choose from indoor or outdoor seatings. There's also an open glass kitchen where you can peep at the hardworking chefs at work. Need I mention how good the service was? And for such high-quality food, the price was unbelievably decent.
Other than F&B deals, Entertainer Singapore includes spas, activities, attractions and more! This money-saving app retails at S$60 and is available for purchase at www.theentertainerasia.com.
I'll be honest with you - the price gave me a shock at first. But after thinking through, it was actually quite worth the price tag - the amount can be easily claimed back in 1 meal! And if you're still not convinced about spending money on the free app yet, I recommend you download and give the trial membership a go first.
